*This gracious word from God through His Prophet Zechariah who prophesied to the people of Judah (the Jews) after their Seventy years return from exile in Babylon, was not only written to them but for us also in such a time like ours. This word came to them in the days of Joshua the high priest and Zerubbabel the prince

Key words in the text
Return: it means come or go back to a place or a person according to the dictionary
Return is from the word turn, depicting a change of mind and direction (that is repentance).
Stronghold: a place that has been fortified so as to protect it against attack. Or a place that is well defended or is a center for particular beliefs.
1Corinthians 5:17 says if any man be in Christ…… to be in Christ is a place or an environment. So, Jesus Christ is our stronghold or fortress. He is our salvation and defense. Bible says that “the name of the Lord is a strong tower, the righteous run to it and are safe (Proverbs 18:10).
A prisoner of hope: is one who is hopeful in spite of circumstances that seem hopeless. A prisoner of hope put his or her faith and trust in the Lord and expects to see light at the end of the tunnel. Proverbs 23:18 says; surely there is an end; and thine expectations shall not be cut off. Proverbs 13:12, Proverbs 23:18, Psalm 42:11
One of the enemies you must walk out from your life in 2022 is discouragement. This enemy will seek your attention in 2022, but you must be a prisoner of hope. Don’t be chained to sadness, fear hopelessness or dread. Let hope in the Lord feed your faith.
I encourage you today to put your faith, trust and confidence in the Lord Jesus Christ. It is this singular act that will deliver you from all the schemes of the devil.
Restore: Isaiah 61:7
